Many developers are now including sustainable principles in their design, such as energy efficiency and resource management (sustainable water treatment), and many new developments are preserving natural vegetation, integrating it into the over all design.
Condos and homes can most certainly be found in sustainable developments. Playa del Carmen land is also available in nearby areas, with green-focused developments, leaving a large amount of the original trees standing, and again specifying construction which brings minimal disturbance to the environment.
